Lucy Brook: Had the Privilege of Attending the Blood 2026 Conference with New Zealand Blood Service
Lucy Brook, Clinical Nurse Specialist at New Zealand Blood Service, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Earlier this week, I had the privilege of attending the Blood 2026 conference with New Zealand Blood Service.
I was honoured to continue Olivia Hanna’s work and present the poster ‘Applied Muscle Tension education and vasovagal reduction in whole blood donors’, highlighting some exciting preliminary results.
I also had the opportunity to attend presentations and explore dozens of posters showcasing the incredible work happening across NZ Blood Service and beyond.
I left each day feeling inspired, educated, and excited by the research and innovation taking place across our field.
Thank you to ANZSBT, Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand and Thrombosis and Haemostasis Society of Australia and New Zealand for putting together such a fantastic conference.
It was a wonderful first conference experience, and I’m grateful to have been part of it!”
