Melissa Lewellyn: The DVT and PE Awareness Resolution from NBCA Is Now Live
Melissa Lewellyn, Director of Strategic Growth, Consulting at Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, LLP, shared on LinkedIn:
”This past Blood Clot Awareness Month, Manatt was proud to continue its pro bono support of the National Blood Clot Alliance in advancing its mission to address the prevention, early diagnosis and successful treatment of life-threatening blood clots.
Together with the NBCA, Heide Bajnrauh and Kendall Hussey recently supported the bicameral introduction of the ‘Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism Awareness Month’ Resolution, which supports the goals and ideals of Blood Clot Awareness Month and recognizes the importance of raising awareness of the life-threatening but preventable conditions of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolisms.
A special thank you to NCBA President Leslie Lake and Sen Chuck Grassley for their ongoing contributions helping to develop this crucial legislation.
Learn more about the essential work NBCA is doing to advance funding and policy to create programs that build awareness and educate both the public and health care providers about the risks of blood clots.”
