Mohsen Asadi: Women and Blood Clots – Understanding Risk Across Every Life Stage
Mohsen Asadi, Product and Application Support Manager – Stago Hemostasis Line at Tajhiz Gostaresh Sina (TGS), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today is World Thrombosis Day.
Blood clot risk isn’t the same throughout a woman’s life. Hormonal birth control, pregnancy, the weeks after delivery, and certain hormone therapies around menopause can all play a role.
Working in hemostasis diagnostics, I see the lab as an important part of the bigger picture. Tests like D-dimer can help clinicians evaluate suspected blood clots, while hemostasis testing also supports anticoagulant monitoring when needed.
The right test, used in the right clinical context, can help inform important decisions about patient care.
Raising awareness of these risks matters. So does making sure the right clinical and laboratory tools are part of the conversation.
Learn more about this years campaign.”
