Nathan Connell: Persistent Gaps in Hemophilia A Care Despite Prophylaxis
Nathan Connell, Clinical Chief of Hematology at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Allison P. Wheeler et al, published in Haemophilia:
“Recent work by Allison Wheeler and colleagues, published in Haemophilia Journal, provides an important real-world look at treatment patterns and outcomes for people in the United States who have moderate-to-severe hemophilia A without inhibitors.
Leveraging observational data, the study highlights persistent gaps despite the availability of prophylactic therapies, including ongoing breakthrough bleeding and its downstream consequences, and underscores the continued need for optimized, individualized treatment strategies and system-level improvements in care delivery.”
