Skye Collado: Miller-Keystone Blood Center Expands Community Impact Through the Addition of New Bloodmobiles
Skye Collado, Senior Client Services Coordinator at BSI Corporate Benefits, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last Thursday, Briana Kolesnik and I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Miller-Keystone Blood Center two newest bloodmobiles, Bloodhound 2 and Bloodhound 3.
Miller-Keystone’s mission to save lives by providing essential blood products to our community deeply resonates with me—not just professionally, but on a deeply personal level.
During childbirth, my son lost 58% of his blood due to a subgaleal hemorrhage.
Diagnosed with severe Hemophilia Type A (a Factor VIII deficiency), he required nine blood transfusions.
Without the selflessness of blood donors and the organization of centers like Miller-Keystone, my son would not be here today.
Why these new bloodmobiles matter:
55% of the whole blood Miller-Keystone receives comes directly from their mobile units.
These vehicles are critical lifelines that ensure regional hospitals have the exact resources they need to support patients in crisis.
Congratulations to the entire team at Miller-Keystone Blood Center on this incredible milestone!”
