For over 40 years, Dr. Vichinsky has combined groundbreaking research with a steadfast commitment to better  diagnosis, treatment and lifelong support for people with Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell Disease. His work has helped shape clinical practice, screening programmes and public-health policy, with lasting benefits for patients worldwide.
A clinician, scientist, advocate and mentor, Dr. Vichinsky has consistently placed the needs and rights of patients at the centre of progress.
