Abdulrahman Nasiri: Bone Marrow Biopsy Safety on Anticoagulation
Abdulrahman Nasiri, Hematologist, Assistant Professor at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, posted on LinkedIn:
”Honored to be participating in the MENA Hematology Congress 2025 held in Al-Madinah, where I presented our paper titled:
Safety of Bone Marrow Biopsy in Patients Receiving Anticoagulation Therapy
A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
This work reviewed more than 65,000 bone marrow biopsy procedures, including over 1,000 anticoagulated patients. The analysis showed that bone marrow biopsy maintains an excellent safety profile, even in patients on anticoagulation, and highlighted the patient-specific factors that truly influence bleeding risk.
Grateful for the opportunity to share this research among distinguished hematologists and researchers across the region.
The congress is still ongoing, and I look forward to the remaining sessions and discussions.
My appreciation to the organizers for a well-executed scientific meeting and to colleagues who enriched the exchange with their insights.”
