Kamran Hajiyev Reflects on A Week of Innovation, Collaboration, and Scientific Exchange at SVIN 2025
Kamran Hajiyev, Managing Senior Physician at Klinikum Stuttgart, shared on LinkedIn:
”This week I had the pleasure of attending the SVIN – Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, chaired by my dear friend Edgar A Samaniego.
The program was packed with high-quality sessions and excellent overviews of the latest breaking trials.
Especially inspiring were the success stories of building thrombectomy access for stroke patients in low- and middle-income countries, supported by SVIN Mission Thrombectomy.
It was also a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaborations across the neurointerventional community.
Together with my colleague Ketevan Mikeladze, I presented five scientific projects from our team at Klinikum Stuttgart, led by Professor Hans Henkes.
Our contributions covered the ClotChek evaluation of individual DOAC response, clinical outcomes of vertebral artery ostial stenting/in-stent restenosis and carotid artery stenting in radiation-induced carotid stenosis.
I am also proud to share that our work, one of the largest series on Stent Angioplasty for Vertebral Artery Ostial Stenosis has now been published in the official journal of the Chinese Stroke Association.

Grateful for the inspiring exchanges and looking forward to continuing these scientific collaborations.”
