Valance Washington: Proud to Share Our Lab’s Latest Publication in Platelets Journal
Valance Washington, Professor at Oakland University, shared on LinkedIn:
”Proud to share our lab’s latest publication in Platelets Journal, exploring how platelets regulate both clotting and inflammation, and what happens when key platelet receptors are removed.
We confirmed the critical role of αIIbβ3 in platelet aggregation and discovered that TLT-1 does not support platelet-platelet adhesion.
This shifts our focus to explore its other non-adhesive roles in hemostasis and inflammation.
Excited for the next steps as we continue to define novel platelet pathways at the intersection of thrombosis and immunity.”
