“PHYSICAL EXAM IN HIT
May be subtle. Look closely!
Skin necrosis at injection sites, limb ischemia, or signs of thrombosis (e.g. swollen leg, cold digits) can all be clues.
Don’t rely on bruising or bleeding. HIT is a prothrombotic state.”
