Alan Dursun: Leading the Next Generation of Youth in the Bleeding Disorders Community
Alan Dursun, Senior Case Manager at Allianz Australia, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Leading the next generation of youth in the bleeding disorders community
This weekend I had the incredible opportunity to lead the Youth Activation Day at the Australian Bleeding Disorders Conference in Brisbane.
From morning rock climbing to the Buddy Bingo night and our “What do you want people to know about living with a bleeding disorder?” video project, it was an amazing few days of connection, teamwork, laughter, and honest conversations.
Seeing everyone open up, support one another, and share their stories reminded me why youth engagement is so important — every story matters and every voice belongs.
A big thank you to Haemophilia Foundation Australia, Natashia Coco, Ben, and all the youth who brought their energy, ideas, and humour to the table. It’s been such a privilege to help shape this program and see it come to life.
A special thank you to Evelyn and the team at the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) for giving me the skills and inspiration at the Dubai Youth Leadership Program earlier this year, which helped set me on my path to creating this project.
Let’s keep empowering our youth and building a strong, connected community for the next generation.”
