Myth vs Fact – ‘An ITP diagnosis means life stops’ – ITP Support Association
ITP Support Association shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Myth vs Fact: ‘An ITP diagnosis means life stops.’
Myth: Once you’re diagnosed, your life has to shrink around it.
Fact: As one of our community members shares in their story on our website: they’ve been ‘leading a more or less normal life… while taking care not to overdo things’, still enjoying mountain walks and family meals wherever they are in the world, even with a platelet count that’s yo-yoed for years.
Living with ITP often means adapting, not stopping.
Pace yourself, know your own count and symptoms, and build a life that works around the condition rather than shrinking to fit it.
Read more real stories from our community over on our website.
What’s one thing ITP hasn’t stopped you doing?”
