Alice Assinger on Platelet Activation and Signaling in Thrombus Formation
Alice Assinger, Professor at the Medical University of Vienna, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Thrilled to share that our review article on platelet activation and signaling in thrombus formation is now published in Blood!
In this article, we explore platelet signaling and thrombus formation — from well-established pathways to surprising new players revealed through studies of 540 mouse genes.
We also highlight how platelet function changes in different contexts, including venous and inflammation-driven thrombosis.
Working together with Frauke Swieringa and Johan Heemskerk has been an incredibly enriching experience — I learned so much along the way and truly enjoyed the inspiring exchange of ideas and expertise.”
