Aline Mirrione-Savin: How Do Different Countries Prevent ABO-Incompatible Red Blood Cell Transfusions?

Aline Mirrione-Savin, Deputy Regional Hemovigilance and Transfusion Safety Coordinator at EFS, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Vox Sanguinis, adding:

“How do different countries prevent ABO incompatible red blood cell transfusions?

I am pleased to share our latest International Forum, now available online in Vox Sanguinis.

Based on responses to a survey of experts from 18 countries, the Forum explores current practices across the transfusion chain—from donor identification to bedside transfusion—and highlights the variability in preventive measures.

Many thanks to all the authors and contributors for this international collaboration.

Special thanks to the Guest Editors and International Forum Editors for their guidance and support throughout this project.”
