William McKeown: Advancing Gene and Cell Therapies for Inherited Bleeding Disorders
William McKeown, Geriatrician at National Hemophilia Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A great weekend in Bucharest for the EHC – European Haemophilia Consortium New Technologies Conference.
Pleased to co-chair a session on gene and cell therapies and hear about the latest advances in treatments for inherited bleeding disorders. Whilst it is inspiring to hear about progress made; it struck me that we need to do so much more not just for haemophilia/VWD, but even more so rare platelet disorders.
Meeting other patients is what always makes EHC meetings so valuable. Fantastic to meet colleagues and patient advocates from across Europe and beyond, including Kyrgyzstan!”
