Bahgat Fayed: The Immunomodulatory Nature of Platelets
Bahgat Fayed, Associate Professor at the National Research Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”New Publication Alert!
I’m delighted to share our latest review article titled “Beyond hemostasis, the immunomodulatory nature of platelets”, now published in Research and Practice in Thrombosis and Haemostasis (Elsevier).
This review explores the diverse immune functions of platelets beyond their traditional role in hemostasis, highlighting their intricate interactions with pathogens and immune cells, and their contribution to inflammation, infection defense, and thromboinflammatory processes.
I’m proud to note that this marks my third publication in collaboration with my esteemed colleagues at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, under the leadership of Professor Shanshan Luo. Our continued teamwork reflects a fruitful scientific partnership focused on immunology and infection biology.
Grateful to all co-authors for their dedication and valuable contributions.”
