”DOAC mono-therapy wins again – one year after DES in patients with AFib.
4 prior trials showed lower bleeding and similar efficacy. here they found better efficacy too!
Thus, monotherapy after a year is the optimal regimen.
(we have to always check why patients are on ASA to be sure there is a clear need. Very often in practice we need to stop the aspirin).”
