Deirdre Finnigan: New Insights into Red Blood Cell Biomechanics in Cancer-Associated Anemia

Deirdre Finnigan, Teaching Assistant at Queen’s University, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Microcirculation, adding:

”I am excited to share that our paper, ‘Evaluation of Red Blood Cell Biomechanics in the Setting of Cancer-Associated Anemia and Chemotherapy’ has been published in Microcirculation.

This paper reflects my master’s thesis work, and is my first first-authored publication.

I am incredibly grateful to my co-authors Nick Cruickshanks, George Ilbawi, Regan Bucciol, and Yousra Tera, for their contributions, and especially to my supervisor, Dr. Maha Othman MD MSc PhD, for her guidance and support on this project!

P.S. The paper is open access, so I’d love for you to give it a read!”
