Emmanuel J Favaloro, Lead Scientist at the Sydney Centres for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Westmead Hospital, shared on LinkedIn:
”100 years of von Willebrand disease (VWD).
2026 marks the 100th year anniversary of the initial publication of a bleeding disorder “pseudo-hemophilia’ that was later to become known as von Willebrand disease.
Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis will publish several papers on VWD in 2026.
This is the first one in queue – on type 2A VWD.
