Eric Topol: Is the Interferon Pathway a Key Driver of Inflammaging and Aging
Eric Topol, Founder and Director of Scripps Research Translational Institute, shared a post on X about a recent article by Zhaoli Liu et al., published in Cell Genomics:
“We’ve known inflammaging is a big part of why the human aging process accelerates.
Now the interferon pathway is invoked as having a causal role (via epigenetics) and potential for targeting.”
Title: Interferon-related inflammaging links epigenetic age acceleration to multimorbidity
