Jason Fung: Why Genetic and Epidemiologic Data Cannot Fully Prove That Lp(a) Directly Causes Cardiovascular Disease

Jason Fung, Physician, Nephrologist, shared a post on X about a recent article by Gissette Reyes-Soffer et al., published in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology, adding:

“Cardiologists, ‘lipid experts’, social media influencers were all 100% sure that Lp(a) is causative.

Based on genetic and epidemiologic data that can never prove causality.”
