Overcoming FVIII Inhibitors With Efanesoctocog Alfa – JTH
Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Aqsa Ashraf et. al, adding:
“Successful immune tolerance induction using efanesoctocog alfa in severe hemophilia A: a case series
Two patients with severe hemophilia A and complex inhibitor histories underwent immune tolerance induction with efanesoctocog alfa at 100 U/kg three times weekly.
Inhibitor titers became undetectable within six weeks and three months, with FVIII recovery above 90%.
Once-weekly prophylaxis maintained troughs of 4-6% and bleed-free outcomes, allowing emicizumab discontinuation.”
