Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Elizabeth Ryan et al, adding:
“Frailty assessment in people with hemophilia
A UK Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre reviewed Clinical Frailty Scale scores in 111 persons with hemophilia aged 50 years or older .
Frailty (CFS 4 and more) was present in 24% overall — 18% at 50-64 years and 33% at 65 or older, against roughly 10% in the general UK population aged 65 years or older. Multimorbidity (100%), polypharmacy (78%) and hemophilic arthropathy featured prominently.”
