Kellie Machlus: CCL5 as a Driver of Megakaryopoiesis and Platelet Recovery

Kellie Machlus, Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Blood, adding:

“So excited to share with everyone our latest publication – led by Maria Barrachina while she was in the lab (go work with her in Ohio!).

This is an extension of our previous work, which now shows in vivo and BM organoid effects of CCL5 on the MK lineage including HSC and MKP expansion and increased platelet production after thrombocytopenia.

Check it out!!”

Title: CCL5 derived from platelets increases megakaryocyte proplatelet formation
