Leila Caroline Souza Reis: Enoxaparin Dosing for VTE Prevention in Adults With Obesity
Leila Caroline Souza Reis, Medical Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of São Paulo School of Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in RPTH, adding:
“Our systematic review and meta-analysis on enoxaparin dosing for venous thromboembolism prophylaxis in adults with obesity was presented at the 2026 Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), held in Paris, France.
We found that enoxaparin 60 mg was associated with a higher likelihood of achieving prophylactic anti-Xa targets compared with 40 mg, although evidence regarding clinical outcomes remains limited.
An international research collaboration developed with the support of Meta-Analysis Academy.”
