Leslye Conde Bazán, Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in CVIR Endovascular, adding:
“Happy to share our new case report, now published in CVIR Endovascular!
IVUS-assisted retrieval of a foreign body associated with focal inferior vena cava thrombosis, in a case where fluoroscopy and DSA provided limited visualization.
This case highlights the potential of IVUS as an additional imaging tool in Interventional Radiology, particularly when conventional angiographic imaging is not enough.
It was a great learning experience and a reminder of how our background in imaging can help us find new ways to approach challenging procedures.”
