Paschalis Evangelidis: Rethinking Vascular and Inflammatory Mechanisms in Hematological Disease

Paschalis Evangelidis, Medical Doctor, Former Teaching Assistant at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), shared on LinkedIn about a recent article he and Eleni Gavriilaki co-authored, published in Frontiers in Medicine, adding:

”We are pleased to share our recent editorial published in Frontiers in Medicine:

The interplay between the endothelium, innate immunity, and coagulation has emerged as a central contributor in the pathogenesis of hematological disorders.

Increasing evidence highlights that endothelial dysfunction, inflammatory signaling, platelet activation, and thrombotic pathways are not isolated processes but part of an integrated and highly dynamic network that shapes disease onset, progression, and clinical outcomes.

Building on this evolving field, we are also launching Volume II of our Research Topic.

This second volume aims to further bridge basic and clinical research, bringing together contributions that deepen our mechanistic understanding and support the development of more targeted and effective therapeutic strategies.

We look forward to continued collaboration with colleagues across disciplines and to the valuable contributions that will shape this next phase of the Research Topic.

Manuscript Submission Deadline: 31 October 2026”
