Pedro Henrique Las Casas: How Anticoagulant Agents and Quercetin Influence Cancer Cell Procoagulant Activity
Pedro Henrique Las Casas, Professor at Sorbonne University, Professor of Internal Medicine at Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Hematologist at Grupo Oncoclínicas, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Cancers, adding:
“Happy to share our latest publication in Cancers with Grigoris Gerotziafas.
‘Enoxaparin, Tinzaparin, and Apixaban Modulate Cancer Cell Procoagulant Activity and Viability: Comparison with Quercetin‘
In this study, we explored how anticoagulant agents and quercetin influence cancer cell procoagulant activity, thrombin generation, and endothelial dysfunction induced by cancer-derived extracellular vesicles.
Our findings provide new insights into the complex interactions between cancer, thrombosis, and the vascular microenvironment.
I am grateful to my colleagues and collaborators for their valuable contributions, and especially proud to be part of the Cancer–Angiogenesis–Thrombosis and Hemostasis (CaVITE) research team at the CRSA PARIS, Inserm Paris UMR_S_938, Sorbonne Université.
Many thanks to all co-authors and collaborators who made this work possible.”
