RBC Transglutaminase-2 Modulates Fibrin Architecture in Blood Clots – RPTH Journal
RPTH Journal shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Naoual Ouazzani Chahdi et al, adding:
“While red blood cells (RBCs) are key components of venous thrombi, their active role in clot formation and structure remains incompletely understood.
Transglutaminase-2 activity within RBCs plays a specific role in modulating extracellular vesicle, which in turn influences the fibrin structure and spatial distribution within blood clots.”
