Shanvi Mahi: A Validated Tool to Explore Lived Experiences After Stroke Rehabilitation
Shanvi Mahi, Physiotherapist, Former Intern at JNU Hospital Jaipur Rajasthan, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:
”I am honoured to share that our research titled ‘Development and Content Validation of a Semi-Structured Interview Guide for Exploring the Lived Experiences and Unmet Needs of Stroke Survivors after Physiotherapy’ has been published in the Journal of Chemical Health Risks, a Scopus-indexed journal.
This study was conceptualized to explore and bring forward the nuanced, lived experiences of stroke survivors – an aspect often underrepresented in conventional outcome-based rehabilitation research.
Through a rigorous methodological framework, we developed and validated a semi-structured interview guide demonstrating excellent content validity (item-level CVI: 0.88–1.00; scale-level CVI/Ave: 0.96).
The guide comprehensively addresses key domains including physical and functional status, psychological well-being, social reintegration, and healthcare experiences, thereby offering a valuable tool for both researchers and clinicians aiming to adopt a more patient-centered approach in stroke rehabilitation.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Mousumi Saha and Dr. Subhasish Chatterjee for their exceptional mentorship, insightful guidance, and unwavering support throughout every stage of this research.
Their academic vision and encouragement have been truly instrumental in shaping this work.
I also extend my sincere appreciation to my co-authors for their dedicated efforts, intellectual contributions, and collaborative spirit.
Working alongside such a supportive and motivated team has been an enriching and inspiring experience, and I am truly grateful for their constant cooperation, thoughtful inputs, and collective enthusiasm in bringing this research to completion.”
