Sumaiya Dickens: Marginal Zone B Cells in Transfusion Medicine and Hemophilia A Research
Sumaiya Dickens, Research Technician in the Moscat and Diaz-Meco Laboratories at Weill Cornell Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn about recent articles she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:
”I’m excited to share that two chapters I co-authored during my time at Emory University School of Medicine were recently published in Methods in Transfusion Medicine, part of Springer’s Methods in Molecular Biology series!
The chapters, ‘Defining the Role of Marginal Zone B Cells in RBC Alloimmunization’ and ‘Defining the Role of Marginal Zone B Cells in FVIII Inhibitor Development,’ focus on the role of marginal zone B cells in immune responses related to transfusion medicine and hemophilia A.
I’m extremely grateful to Patricia Zerra and everyone in the Zerra Lab at Emory for giving me the opportunity to be part of this work and for everything I learned during my time in the lab.
It’s really cool to see these projects finally published, especially as I’m starting the next chapter of my research career at Weill Cornell Medicine.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this work, and to editors Sean R. Stowell and Connie M. Arthur for putting the volume together.”
