Suzanne Fustolo-Gunnink: Exploring Complexity and Uncertainty in Transfusion Research
Suzanne Fustolo-Gunnink, Researcher and group leader at Sanquin Research, shared a post on LinkedIn about her recent article, published in Vox Sanguinis:
“New publication in which I’ve tried to put my thoughts on complexity and uncertainty in transfusion medicine research on paper.
What was initially meant to be just a short commentary evolved into a full article.
I’ve tried my best to make it an easy read (which was not easy!), and use lots of examples.
My hope is that it provides helpful perspectives and suggestions for transfusion researchers across the globe.
If you have comments, ideas, projects you’d like to discuss or if you disagree with things I’ve written, email me!
I’d be happy to have a chat.
Thanks to Enrico Lopriore, Federica Russo, Olaf Dekkers, Willem-Pieter de Boode, and Gorm Greisen for our initial discussions on this topic.
And thanks to the UvA Institute for Advanced Study for having me as a fellow in 2025, where I worked on many of the ideas described in this paper.”
