Finding the right balance in thromboprophylaxis means carefully weighing up APS risks against cancer treatment concerns. While aspirin is our best choice here, we must remember that treating patients isn’t just about following rules. Guidelines help us, but clinical judgment matters too.
Thanks to Dr Zunaira Aamir for sharing this interesting case of a 36-year-old woman with APS (recurrent pregnancy loss, LA positive) and breast cancer on tamoxifen. It shows how we need to think carefully when a patient has multiple risk factors.”
