Coffee consumption is associated with a reduced risk of thromboembolic venous disease, including pulmonary embolism.
A very nice demonstration by the authors, carried out on a large cohort.

This new study from Melliane Muteba Olsen and team demonstrated that drinking 1–2 cups a day is linked to a 21% lower risk of VTE, especially PE.
In a massive cohort study (112K+ people), moderate coffee intake showed protective effects.”
