Mickael Rosa Wins Bernd R. Binder Prize at ECTH for Breakthrough ECMO Platelet Study
Mickael Rosa, Associate Professor at the University of Lille, posted on LinkedIn:
”Today, together with Pr. Antoine Rauch, I had the great honor of receiving the Bernd R. Binder Publication Prize at the European Congress on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ECTH).
This recognition celebrates our 2023 paper on the role of ECMO-associated shear forces on GPIbα shedding, platelet clearance, and thrombocytopenia, a project aiming to elucidate clinical observations, driven by teamwork and translational sciences for understanding platelet biology under high mechanical stress.
I’m deeply grateful to the jury for this distinction, to all the co-authors for their dedication, and to our wonderful Team 2 led by Pr. Sophie Susen at Nuclear receptors, metabolic and cardiovascular diseases (Pr. Bart Staels) for their continued support and inspiring projects.
A special thanks to Technoclone (Veronika Binder) for offering this opportunity and supporting this award that highlights innovation in thrombosis research.”

Keep up with Hemostasis Today.
