Stefan Hof on The Role of Pyrrolidine Dithiocarbamate in Hemorrhagic Shoke

Stefan Hof, Clinical scientist and anesthesiologist at University Hospital of Düsseldorf, shared on LinkedIn:

”I am pleased to share our lately published manuscript:

“Pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate accelerates early recovery of intestinal microvascular oxygenation in a reversible model of hemorrhagic shock in rats”

Beyond its immediate findings, this work represents a link between long-standing and emerging research focuses of our experimental research group.

It connects our earlier emphasis on the role, mechanisms, and effects of the heat shock protein heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) with our more recent interest in experimental modelling of critical illness, microvascular insufficiency, mitochondrial dysfunction and tissue oxygenation.

A heartfelt thank you to all collaborators for their dedication, expertise, and excellent teamwork.”
