What Do Blood and Plasma Donors Think About Biobanking? A New Study Reveals Their Attitudes
Karlijn Joosten, Staff Member Research and Development of Ambulance Care at RAVHM, posted on LinkedIn:
“I am proud to present you my first peer-reviewed publication, after a long period of perseverance.
Title: Attitudes of blood and plasma donors towards biobanking for longitudinal health research”
Authors: Karlijn F. Joosten, Lotte van Dammen, Eva-Maria Merz, Věra M. J. Novotný, Daphne C. Thijssen-Timmer, Katja van den Hurk

The article has been published in PLOS One last month.
In this article we investigated the attitudes of Sanquin blood and plasma donors towards the collection and storage of donation remainders in a future biobank. Together with questionnaire data this would give great opportunities for longitudinal health research.
With special thanks to Lotte van Dammen and Katja van den Hurk, and the other co-authors Eva-Maria Merz, Věra M.J. Novotný and Daphne Thijssen-Timmer.”
