Matías J Alet on Treating Early Neurological Deterioration in Lacunar Stroke
Matías J Alet, Member of Education Committee of World Stroke Organization, shared on LinkedIn:
”I’m happy to share that our article is now available online:
“Treatment of Early Neurological Deterioration in Lacunar Stroke” (in Medicina Clínica).
Early neurological deterioration (END) in lacunar stroke is a relevant clinical phenomenon during the first days of hospitalization and still lacks a standardized therapeutic approach.
In this retrospective cohort (2013–2023), we describe the clinical presentation, independent predictors, and the therapeutic strategies implemented in real-world practice, and we assess their association with 90-day functional outcomes.

Many thanks to my co-authors and our team for the work and commitment behind this project.”
