Mohammad Reza Fattahi: Breast Arterial Calcifications as a Marker of Stroke Risk in Women
Mohammad Reza Fattahi, Clinician–Scientist in Surgical Innovation and Translational Research and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Tehran, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:
”Proud to share our latest publication in Frontiers- Neuroscience and Neurology: ‘Breast arterial calcifications on mammography and risk of stroke: a systematic review and meta-analysis.’
This systematic review, the product of a truly global collaboration between researchers across the USA, Canada, the UK, and Iran, examines a promising, accessible marker for stroke risk.
Mammography is already widely used; our work synthesizes evidence on how breast arterial calcifications might also help identify women at higher risk of stroke, bridging radiology and vascular neurology.
A heartfelt thank you to every co-author and contributor across borders for making this possible. True teamwork knows no boundaries.”
