Connecting with More Than 900 Healthcare Leaders at THSNA – PDSA
Platelet Disorder Support Association (PDSA) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“PDSA was proud to join more than 900 healthcare professionals at this year’s Thrombosis and Hemostasis Summit of North America (THNSA).
Our President and CEO, Caroline Kruse, represented the patient voice throughout the event by delivering two powerful presentations:
- Patient Journeys to Diagnosis of a Rare Bleeding Disorder
- The Role of Advocacy Organizations in Drug Development, Clinical Trial Design, and Adoption of New Knowledge
Caroline also co-chaired two insightful sessions:
- Clinical Considerations: Aging with a Bleeding Disorder presented by Craig Kessler, alongside Jonathan Roberts, and Kathaleen Schnur,
- Kids and Sports presented by Michael Tarantino, alongside Patricia Longmuir, and Clayton Kubrick,
In addition, hosted a booth where resources designed to support both patients and healthcare professional were shared by long time PDSA volunteer and advocate, Ken Kruse.
Patient organizations like play a vital role in shaping the future of care.
We bring forward the lived experience that inform better research, more patient – centered clinical trials, and stronger partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem.
When clinicians, researchers, nurses, social workers and patient advocates come together, the entire community benefits.
And that’s our goal: Championing the needs of those living with ITP and other rare bleeding disorders.”
