Eve Glazier: A Physician’s Journey Living with Hemophilia A on The Latest Episode of UCLA Health Medically Speaking
Eve Glazier, President of Faculty Practice Group and Podcast Host at UCLA Health Medically Speaking, shared on LinkedIn:
”Living with a chronic condition often means navigating a constant, invisible calculation about what is safe and what matters most.
In our latest episode of UCLA Health Medically Speaking, I sat down with Dr. Shawn Whelan, a primary care physician who has lived with Hemophilia A since infancy.
Shawn shared his journey from a young boy learning to self-infuse medication to a doctor who now uses that lived experience to empower his own patients.
We talked about the incredible shifts in treatment, from the early days of risk math to the frontier of gene therapy, and his philosophy on finding your ‘arena’ and living as fully as possible within it.
It’s a thoughtful look at how our challenges can eventually become our greatest sources of purpose.
