Emma Gasson: Top Abstract Oral Presentation at BSH 2026 on Cancer-Associated Thrombosis Microfluidics
Emma Gasson, Master of Science – MSc, Biomedical Sciences, General at UCL , shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week I had the privilege of presenting at British Society for Haematology ‘s 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting in Liverpool where my Abstract got selected for Oral Communications in the Top Abstracts with Expert Perspective: Thrombosis and Haemostasis session.
My presentation discussed the results of my Master’s laboratory project at the UCL Cancer Institute in collaboration with the Katharine Dormandy Haemophilia and Thrombosis Centre at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust titled ‘In Vitro Modelling of Cancer-Associated Thrombosis (CAT) using a Microfluidic Chamber Approach’.
It was a really exciting opportunity to present my results to leading experts in the field followed by some insightful discussions and I am excited to see the future trajectory of the project!
This was an incredible opportunity for me and a huge thank you goes out to UCL Cancer Institute , Katharine Dormandy Trust For Haemophilia and Allied Disorders, and my Master’s supervisors Vincent Muczynski and Paul Batty for making this possible.”
