”HWSK Facilitates Strategic Dialogue on Expanding Access to Hemophilia Non-Factor Replacement Therapies | WFH Global Congress 2026
At the WFH Global Congress 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, the Hemophilia Welfare Society Karachi Pakistan (HWSK) convened a high-level advocacy meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between government stakeholders, global partners, and industry leaders to advance access to modern hemophilia care.
The dialogue brought together key stakeholders including Dr. DureNaz Jamal, Secretary of the Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority; Lutz Knabe, Global Partner for People Living with Bleeding Disorders at Roche; Raheel Ahmed Khan, Founder and CEO – HWSK; Abbas Ali, Coordinator – HWSK; along with representatives from Roche Pakistan.
The engagement aimed to establish a constructive platform for dialogue between the Government of Sindh and Roche to explore sustainable pathways for improving patient access to non-factor replacement therapies.
Key discussion areas included:
- Developing long-term strategies to improve accessibility of innovative hemophilia treatments
- Strengthening public–private collaboration frameworks Identifying practical solutions to expand treatment outreach at district and community levels
- Reinforcing HWSK’s role as a facilitating partner connecting patients, policymakers, and global healthcare partners
- Participants emphasized the importance of coordinated, partnership-driven efforts to address existing treatment access challenges – particularly for underserved populations across Sindh.
This engagement represents an important step toward building a structured, long-term collaboration model aimed at improving quality of life for people living with bleeding disorders.
HWSK reaffirms its commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and sustainable healthcare solutions that ensure equitable access to care for all.
