Ella Sophia Ellis: Launching the ITP Young Adults Group to Build Connection and Support
Ella Sophia Ellis, Commercial Manager (SEO) at Ministry of Justice UK, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve launched the ITP Young Adults Group, a brand-new sub‑group of the ITP Support Association UK, alongside my fellow ITP companions Tom O. and Rhona Bowie.
This community has been created especially for 18–30‑year‑olds living with ITP, whether newly diagnosed or managing long‑term, chronic disease.
The ITP Young Adults Group is all about connection.
It’s a space for young adults living with ITP to meet others who truly understand the lived reality of living with the disease – to share experiences, support one another, and feel less alone.
Our aim is to build a strong, supportive community that amplifies an often under‑represented group in research, treatment, and care – helping to shape the future of ITP.
We also aim to encourage more community involvement, and create opportunities to engage in wider awareness‑raising and haematology initiatives.
I’m genuinely SO proud to be part of something that empowers patients living with ITP.
If you or someone you know might benefit, please feel free to reach out or share this post!

Special thanks to CEO of the ITP Support Association UK, Mervyn Morgan for all the support!”
