Manmit Kaur: Advancing Practice and Reaching New Personal Goals in One Week
Manmit Kaur, Consultant at Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What a week! Attended BSH in my birth town.
So lovely to visit Liverpool after many years.
I managed to attend several practice-impacting talks.
The discussions around bleeding disorders in women was very thought-provoking.
The fact that girls with von Willebrands Disease are less likely to go on to further education reminded us all that despite advances, there’s still a long way to go.
As always, impressive organisation and a pleasure to catch up with colleagues and friends.
Our SHO brought 2 excellent poster presentations for our department.
Also a treat to fit in some waterfront early morning runs.
Ended the week running my first full marathon in London.
Absolutely electric atmosphere and one of the most positive experiences to date!”
