Low Absolute Neutrophil Count Doesn’t Always Indicate Pathology – ASH Education

Some healthy children have a genetically lower ANC due to Duffy-null associated neutrophil count (DANC).
When unrecognized, this can affect clinical trial eligibility and treatment decisions.
