Jessica Garcia: Clinic Gave Me All the Feelings Today
Jessica Garcia, Pediatric Hematologist, Hemostasis and Thrombosis Specialist at UT Southwestern Medical Center, shared on LinkedIn:
“Clinic gave me all the feelings today.
First, I spotted a smiling neutrophil that made my heart smile….peak heme‑nerd joy.
Then I opened flowers and a handwritten card from a patient I’ve cared for almost eight years, someone I’ve walked with through some of the hardest parts of living with a severe bleeding disorder. I transitioned him to adult care today.
I’m happy for him, proud of him, and a very sad to see him go. I love my patients and the privilege of caring for them through every stage.”
