Nathan Connell: A Valuable and Timely Discussion on The Future of Global Health Equity
Nathan Connell, Clinical Chief of Hematology at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, shared a post on Linkedln:
”It was a privilege for the Mass General Brigham Department of Medicine to host this year’s Paul Farmer–Victor Dzau Lecture in Global Health Equity, featuring Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana, Rwanda’s Minister of Health.
The program was introduced with remarks from Victor Dzau, Jim Yong Kim , and Joe Rhatigan, a fitting reflection of the enduring impact of Dr. Paul Farmer’s vision on global health delivery.
I was glad to attend alongside hematology colleagues Barbara Bierer and David Golan. The discussion highlighted the ongoing challenge, and responsibility, of building equitable health systems that translate innovation into access at scale.
Events like this serve as an important reminder that advancing health equity requires not only scientific progress, but sustained collaboration across clinical medicine, policy, and global partnerships.”
