Maya Brown-Zimmerman: Bridging Patient Experience and Genetic Counseling in Marfan Syndrome
Maya Brown-Zimmerman, Cardiac Genetic Counselor at Norton Children’s, Advisor to the Professional Advisory Board at The Marfan Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I had the opportunity recently to be a guest on All Access DNA Podcast to talk about being a patient, parent, and provider with Marfan syndrome.
We discussed what Marfan is, how the diagnosis process has changed (I was diagnosed clinically as a child, and then had genetic testing as an adult), what my experience has been, and what resources exist for diagnosis and support.
The episode is about 30 minutes and you can check it out here.”
