Razieh Parizad: Systematic Review Evaluates the Future Role of Factor XI Inhibitors in Stroke Prevention

Razieh Parizad, Researcher at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Exploration of Neuroprotective Therapy, adding:

“Excited to share that our systematic review, ‘Factor XI inhibitors versus direct oral anticoagulants for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation: a systematic review of efficacy and safety’, has been published in Exploration of Neuroprotective Therapy.

This systematic review evaluates the efficacy and safety of FXI inhibitors compared to DOACs for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation.

Key findings include a significant reduction in major bleeding with FXI inhibitors, although DOACs were more effective in preventing stroke or systemic embolism.

I am grateful to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Bata for his invaluable mentorship, guidance, and support throughout this work.

I am also grateful to my co-authors for their collaboration and contributions.”
